This particular situation is beyond ridiculous and just goes to show what the American justice system has become under the Patriot Act. [sigh] The article doesn't mention that the professor sentenced, Dr. Ferrell, ultimately plead guilty only because the strain on his personal and professional life was becoming unbearable and beginning to effect his health.
It's just disgusting. I mean, it's not like we haven't got better things to do.
