Things That Happen When You Go on "V."
Mar. 16th, 2008 07:43 pm* you spend seven gloriously sun-dappled days and realize that the weather god has not forsaken you after all - it's just that you moved to one of the cities of the lost.
* you realize that you have some of the most awesome family and friends on the planet.
* you don't get nearly as much done as you had planned to, and somehow you're not too terribly bothered about that.
* you go to see at least one really, really, really, really (really) bad action flick on the big screen.
* you notice that while your average driving speed in New State is about ten mph below your Hometown State average speed, you are nearly always the fastest car in New State and nearly never the fastest car in Hometown State.
* you eat out for practically every meal and dread weighing yourself when you get home.
* you, despite promising yourself that you would not make your carry-on burden any worse through the acquisition of books, acquire two books when you go museum strolling (thanks Dad!).
* you realize, ceaseless complaints to the contrary, that you really have come to like your new town; that you're glad to be back (crummy weather and all); that you are actually looking forward to digging back into classes for the final haul; and that you're excited at the thought of seeing your friends - whom you have missed.
