Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.
Jun. 17th, 2008 05:11 pmI am teh lame, and I have not posted anything in forever.
* Spent a great weekend with my aunt, uncle, and cousins. Times are rough for us all right now, but we've still got each other and that counts for just about everything.
* Had a spat with my BFF, but we talked it out because we're awesome like that. Then we watched hot Gackt-ness together and drank beer. (Oh yeah, and we bought stuff.) Good times.
* Went to SF for Dad's birthday. Saw the Chihuly exhibit. Some pretty whack stuff there and no mistake, but the scariest experience took place in the museum cafe where we paid $30 for small portions of cafeteria-style crap that took almost forty minutes to arrive. Next time, we're eating at the Asian.
* M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening is off-the-hook brilliant. Unfortunately, most moviegoers will probably be too [insert appropriate elitist and condescending adjective here] to notice. I suppose I don't expect everyone to get Shyamalan--he's not for all--but I do except everyone to know that I will fully put the smackdown on them if they even think about suggesting Indiana Jones 4 was a better movie.
* I leave for Meguro, Tokyo on Thursday and I'm having a little get-together of friends and loved ones the night before. Whee!
* I did some good thesis reading, although I never managed to write anything down but notes, but I still have a little bit more to do before I leave and it is totally not going to get down. I have EPIC FAIL for my California work/vacation assignment. And that's okay.
