Here's a roundup of my three favorite photos of myself from the last month or so (including one hula-themed image). They're arranged chronologically and under a cut, so that those who wish to avoid my narcissism may do so. Further details about each accompany the individual shots.

This shot was taken in Yoyogi Park, just days before I left Tokyo to come home. To my left--your right--is the delightful Miss S., one of my compatriots in the Summer Short program at KCP. The photo was taken by my boy T.--another compatriot in the same program. (Yes, that's a can of Asahi Super Dry in my hand. God bless Japan's lack of open container laws.)

Here, I'm standing outside the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, talking to my mother on the phone. I had just gotten off the ten-hour flight from Tokyo and was about to live it up in the city with my Dad and my friends

lillith_knox and T. Lk took this picture and did the photoshop work on it. Apparently, she's also turning it into a painting--because she's awesome like that.

Here I am mid-hula. Need I say more? Actually, I had no idea this photo was being taken at the time, and I really love it. It captures the spirit of the evening, I think, which was really open and enjoyable. And I guess I can still dance the hula, even after eight years of not practicing. That's kind of cool. S.--one of the grads in my program--took this picture.
