And Then There Were None.
Dec. 6th, 2007 10:32 pmHad the most fabulous evening out tonight. Highlights include hanging with some folks from my cohort (who are fully awesome), eating miraculous pies (cranberry/blueberry and chocolate pudding to name a few), and hearing numerous hilarious anecdotes (including one that encompassed Dizzy Gillespie and the best pick-up line ever. ("More people should wear cotton...") I also had a chance to talk ghosts from a new viewpoint, and it's time to invest more $$$ in books.
The semester is effectively over for me at this point, and Japan waits in the wings. I've got piles of plans for the first week (which will take place in Tokyo): numbers to call, outings to arrange, a feeling of homecoming to savor. And then the adventure begins as we head for the wilds with rail passes tucked in our belt buckles and smiles on our faces.
I'm relieved to have reached a break-point and fairly pleased with how I've acquitted myself this first term... astonishingly.
Onward.
