On the edge of yet another precipice.
Jan. 4th, 2009 06:45 pmClass lets back in tomorrow. I really feel put upon, I have to admit. I just cannot understand why the spring term can't start up a week from tomorrow instead of tomorrow. It's just a New City school thing, I guess. We start early; we end early. La de da de da de da de da... la de da... la de da.
I spent the last weekend of freedom (yeah, right) prepping for teaching and Grad Expo, and putting the finishing touches on an assortment of applications that have to go out this week. I also very abruptly realized that I have to apply for graduation by this Friday, and that such a thing is no small undertaking. (Does every school have such arcane requirements for thesis and dissertation formatting? And given that, does every school's various departments have so little assistance available to students for getting through the process without a headache?)
Anyway, I have no idea what kind of blogger I'm going to morph into this semester. I'll be better able to judge how much free time I'll have available to me once I get through the first week. I have a sneaking suspicion, however, that the next few months are going to resemble oh-dear-jesus.
Wish me luck!
