Well, everything got done, as it always seems to do. Now I'm trying to take care of the things that never seem to get taken care of during the regular term. I'm not doing that well, either. I've gotten my clothes (yet to be fully unpacked since I came home from Japan) into organized piles, and those piles are stacked carefully on the bed at present. But I haven't been able to make myself put the piles away yet.

Refusal to put clothes away is one of my worst habits. I always figure that they're just going to get taken out again anyway, so why bother putting them away? Of course, the reason is that if they're put away they can be found when necessary, but it still doesn't seem to be a good enough reason to take the trouble of folding and hanging.

Clothes are such a pain in the ass, but I love them so.

Otherwise, things are going well. I had a very good meeting with one of my advisors this afternoon to talk briefly about readings. I'll have plenty of things to look over during the holiday break. In addition to starting to become acquainted with theories about the grotesque, I hope to read ahead for next term's Japanese reading course. I didn't feel that I had enough time this past term to read everything I wanted to.

But before I set off for my winter [reading] adventure, I'll have the privilege of welcoming home the fabulous [livejournal.com profile] foxxydancr tomorrow.

Life is good.

Hah, you sound just like me. I'm a complete clotheshorse, but I hate putting my clothes away, since they're just going to come out again. It drives Das Boy nuts that I leave clothes in the dryer or in the clean hamper...he's a Folder. *eyeroll*

I'm totally with you. The clean clothes hamper is where it's at.

And that way, you know just where to look for that shirt you wore two weeks ago!

But unless your clean-clothes hamper is huge ... Wait, I think I'm confused. It's so much less clutter-y when the clothes are put away in their proper storage spot like the dresser or the closet as appropriate! Or I guess if you don't like to put your clothes in a dresser, you should just get rid of the dresser entirely? Because it's now uselessly taking up space and serving no function? Just get a bigger clean-clothes hamper!

Wow, I'm tired and I should probably go to sleep, apologies for my indecipherable syntax!

...I have too many clothes, and I hate putting them away. Simple as that. My dresser's full of trousers and underwear, and my closet is full of blazers, sweaters, dresses and shirts. I just...mostly leave stuff on the drying rack or in the hamper after it's been washed, though. I'm lazy!
