Goddamn Seasonal Shift.
Oct. 20th, 2008 08:15 pmIt's as good an excuse as any, I suppose.
For some reason, I've felt worn out and hopeless for at least the last week. Tired of my work and wondering what the hell I got into this mess for in the first place, etc. Practically the only thing that relieves the pressure and enables me to keep (somewhat) on top of things are my friends and Japanese action flicks. Mainly, I just wish I could hibernate until the end of the semester. No thesis rewrites, no grant proposal drafts, no construction of Silk Road seminar paper and paper abstract for submission to a conference next term; no more translation of devilishly difficult Japanese articles on the case of Crown Prince Sawara.
Like I said, I think it must be the ever-nearing winter season. I'll be a bonafide grouch until sometime in March. You have been warned.
