A song that reminds you of an ex
"Rock You Like a Hurricane," The Scorpions.
I could have gone a lot of directions with this one. One of the great things about relationships is how they inevitably enrich one's musical knowledge. Some of my most beloved bands/artists came to me through now ex-boyfriends, and even the terrible relationships tended to impart good music. I wanted to go to a good place with this one, though, and so I went for a song that always reminds me of J - who is easily the best boyfriend I ever had. Anyone who knows me knows that I do not shy from the 80s rock scene. But for some reason, I've never really liked The Scorpions. And "Rock You Like a Hurricane" irritates the living shit out of me. But J loved The Scorpions, and he loved "Hurricane," and every time I hear it I think of him fondly.
