Things went much better today. I did the dishes and the laundry, prepared my talk on Japanese monsters for Monday, got a decent start on my conference paper, and pulled ahead a bit on the Chinese homework. Not too shabby.

I didn't get as far as I'd hoped on the paper (only about two fifths of the way, as I figure it), but I got hung up on the primary documents section. Working with primary Japanese documents, which tend to be written in a mix of classical Japanese and this writing style known as kanbun (something I've posted on before), makes me super paranoid. So I spent a good chunk of time rechecking my sources and translations.

So yeah, onto the religious stuff and other artworks tomorrow. Then the conclusion. Then lots more crap to read for a variety of classes.

I need a vacation, but until such time arrives... at least I have my helpful voices. (Yinz'all seriously crack me up.)
