Jan. 5th, 2007 11:01 amI was very impressed with an article I read this morning in the New York Times by a regular arts columnist, Roberta Smith. The author did an excellent job of describing the museum and what is currently on view there through a specifically focused topic. In doing so, she was able to include a bit of intriguing historical information and a lot of descriptive writing about selected works of art. It's nice to get a sense of what types of writing one can do in the field of art criticism and history - especially those types of writing that are not strictly academic.
