The problem with the exhibit wasn't that it was Greek art (at least I don't think that was the problem). The problem was that 70% of the art on display was Attic pottery. The presentation materials were wonderfully balanced between Attic and Laconian - but the actual presentation was very heavy on the Attic pottery - and mainly black figure pottery to boot. It was boring. The little bronzes were enchanting and the stone pieces were beautiful - just far too few. Highlight for me was the marble Leonidas and the lovely laconian pot with the owl. ;)
