Reunion.

Tonight is my ten-year high school reunion. It's rather strange to think that I'm already ten years out from my high school graduation. I certainly took my time about things, what with dropping out of college here and there and bouncing around the world in order to figure out exactly what it was I wanted to do with my life. Not that I'm knocking it. I'm so glad that I didn't just leap into school and wind up doing something soul-numbing because I settled early. But I'm also glad that I've got a BA so show for the last ten years of my life, you know? Anyway, there are two or three people I'm interested in running into again and finding out whatever became of them. With any luck, that handful of folks will have made the party.

In other news, my vacation is nearly done and it's about time to get back to the grind - thank god. I've had a delightful time so far, but the freedom is starting to wear on me and drive me nuts. In Tokyo I had a daily routine that was jam packed and intense. I look forward to the same when I hit the East Coast. I have been keeping up with my Japanese, though, after a fashion. I've been translating lyrics from jRock and jPop songs, and I'm getting pretty good at it.

So I've got that going for me... which is nice.
