Quality Product.
Aug. 22nd, 2007 03:05 pmJust returned home from a walk around the corner to my neighborhood Sephora to pick up some hair care supplies. I must confess that the proximity of the Sephora was one of the selling points of my house here in the new city. A few years ago, I was introduced to the idea that you get what you pay for and that the more expensive stuff can actually be a whole lot better than the cheap. Since then, I've used Sephora (and places like it) for all my beauty care needs. I am, after all, quite vain.
My choice to settle near quality product, however, had other unexpected locational benefits. For instance, the most beautiful supermarket I've ever been in is also within walking distance of my home. And the city's only Japanese grocery store is, as I mentioned in an earlier post, a bare mile away. I'll never lack for the essentials in life, and that's a fact.
Life is good, good, good.
In other news, unpacking continues. The kitchen and bathroom are done. The living is coming along nicely. Once I get the trash and storage out I'll really be cooking with gas, and then I'll move on to the last stage of unpacking - the bedroom - which I plan to take my time over so as to get it just right.
